Aesthetic projection welding units are used for moving steel parts in cars (doors, bonnets, boots, tailgates, front wings) to consolidate and lock the joint between the inner and outer panels after the perimeter crimping process carried out with electromechanical equipment or robots and specific roller tools.

Welding is typically indirect MF projection welding. The embossing is stamped onto the inner panel using a KGR pneumatic-hydraulic unit, while fins are stamped onto the outer panel in line with the embossing.
