Engineering
Product improvement, development of new assembly technologies and innovation are factors that have always characterised KGR's constant growth, earning the satisfaction and trust of its customers.
The future challenge of the market sees KGR, involved in modern organisational strategies, conforming to a new approach to the management of information, processes and resources in support of the life cycle of its products and services, from their conception, to development, to market launch, to end-of-life withdrawal from the market (PLM).
The result will be an environment where IT processes and people coordinate all aspects of a product's “virtual” life before that product is used, with obvious advantages in terms of cost reduction, reduced time to market, and improved performance and quality of the proposed machinery.
Process simulation
KGR is able to study, optimise and validate the production process sequence, performing verification in a dynamic 3D environment.

Design de mécanique
The most functional engineering solutions are studied and designed using a wide range of 2D and 3D software.
The process chain «from design to manufacture» is completed using CAD-CAM software for the creation of part programmes, directed to 5- and 7-axis machining centres for mechanical processing.

In a market undergoing constant technological evolution, the ability to innovate is an increasingly important factor.
Continuous contact with customers and their suggestions encourage KGR engineers to improve, design and develop products that are easy to use, high quality and offer zero-defect production performance.
KGR reserves a decisive role for R&D in creating cutting-edge solutions, obtaining international patents for specific production processes in the automotive sector.
KGR collaborates with leading European universities to develop assembly processes designed to join materials of different types and compositions, with the aim of reducing the weight of manufactured goods, promoting end-of-life recycling, limiting energy consumption and improving the environment.
Evolution
The aim of the project was to demonstrate the feasibility of an electric city car weighing only 600 kg, structurally high-performance and highly recyclable, for medium production volumes.
Thanks to your participation, the KGR is now able, in collaboration with other project partners, to offer its customers the expertise it has acquired in the field of multi-material joining technologies and the disassembly/reuse/recycling aspects of new materials.
FlexHyJoin
The ultimate goal of the project https://www.flexhyjoin.eu/ is to incorporate surface texture treatment and laser and induction joining into an automated pilot process combined with a quality control and process monitoring system that meets the needs of the automotive industry and allows for the widespread application of hybrid materials. Among other things, this project aims to develop a joining process for hybrid components that meets three fundamental requirements: weight reduction, time and cost efficiency, and fastening strength.
